Well I totally snoozed threw black friday on this one... Hopefully I can still find a good deal though.

I need a holster for my new CZ Shadow 2....

Give me some suggestions please!

I’ve used a few now, bladetech, Ghost The One - both of which are good holsters - but I’m currently using the Ghost Stinger (also called the Thunder) holster, which I like a lot.

DAA Alpha-X is the clear answer. BTW pretty much anything is IPSC-legal. And there is a sale on DAA until tonight,

You probably don't want one holster for IPSC and 3-gun.

You'll want two different holsters (and two different belts) for two different games.

IPSC; Buzzer goes off and you grab your handgun.
Zero retention, super-loose holster works best. Race holsters are common.

3-Gun; Buzzer goes off and you go kneeling or prone to shoot your rifle, then go running around with your shotgun, and then FINALLY draw your handgun.
Strong retention, super-tight holster works best. Level 2 locking holsters are common.

1 school of thought is to have a holster for each discipline but if you want a 1 size fits all, Redhill tactical or good old Bladetech will do the job. I'd stay away from race holsters for 3 gun.

I have a Ghost the one for IPSC and a blade tech for 3 gun for my Shadow 2.I really like the Ghost but wouldnt trust it for running around in a 3 gun match. You really dont need lightning fast draws in a 3 gun match anyways.

Yep, and if your gun pops out of that race holster during 3-gun you'll be DQ'd for an uncontrolled drop. Not a good way to end your day.

I'm using the Solely Canadian competition holster for 3 Gun. Works very well, haven't lost it yet. I went with the Teklok. Tim makes a great product.

Adamg's right, and the proof is in the scores.

I'd say if a competitor wanted a holster to do both 3 gun and IPSC but they didn't have the coin for a Race Master/Alpha-X, the Safariland GLS is a good $50 option.
