Hey folks,

I wanted to know whether anyone could clarify for me the situation of IPSC in Canada with different provinces. I reside in Quebec, but shoot both in Quebec and Ontario. I'm reading that every IPSC shooter has to be part of the section they reside in. So I'd have to be part of the Quebec section. Can I still take my black badge course in Ontario? And can I still compete in both Ontario and Quebec? Do I need to become a member (and pay the fees) of both the Ontario and Quebec sections?

Cheers

As far as I know, you will need to join IPSC Quebec. As for your BB course, I suspect you could take it at a club in Ontario if that's more convenient and there isn't an issue with space.

You have to ask permission of your provincial training officer to take your BB in another section. This is mainly to insure that your home section knows you have taken a BB course.

In some Sections...the BB course fee includes your first year of membership. That fee has to end up in the Section in which you reside.

GunNutz is not the place to be asking these questions. Send an email to the SC for your section (available on the IPSC Website(s) and ask. They will inform you on the requirements...and make what ever inter sectional arrangements that are needed.

Cheers

Like Walter said, you need permission from your section's training coordinator and the paperwork has to be submitted accordingly.
So like Quigley said contact your section coordinator.
