I am interested in ipsc.
I want to run the classic division.
I bought a Springfield range officer operator. I read the rules but I am still unsure about stirrup cuts and the rail.
Frame to the slide pin is exactly 75mm but not sure if it’s all ok. I can’t find the real difference between butler and stirrup cuts. Can anyone tell me if this model ok? Is there an offical list?
If the slide cut is no good can I get a new slide?

Thanks

The 1911 most likely fits. It meets stirrup cuts ruling but you should measure the dust cover length as i'm not familer with the operator - if it has an extended dust cover to fit the accessory rail.
The springfield RO is legal.

The dust cover (what the rail is milled into) must be no longer than 75mm from the centerline of the slide pin hole.

Which means, that 1911 must have a "classic" 1911 look to it.

So measure from the slide pin hole to the end of the frame.

If you're longer than 75mm, you can have it milled off for 150$ plus refinishing.
