I am about to purchase the Kimber Eclipse Target II 45 however now I am wondering if the Sights are alright for the classic division

Sights- Meprolight Tritium bar-dot night sight, adjustable

Briefly:

Only single-stack, 1911-style pistols need apply.
Railed frames are not permitted.
Dustcovers extending forward beyond the normal length, are not permitted (max. 75mm from the front of the dust cover to the rear of the slide stop pin hole).
Magwells are permitted, but can't be wider than 35mm. In practice, this means that magwells can't extend beyond the grips, laterally.
No compensators.
No optical sights.
No slide rackers, thumb rests and slide-lightening cuts.
Gun must fit in IPSC box.

?

Cheers
B

Because:

a. they're not optical sights; and

b. they're standard notch & post sights which happen to have trtium inserts.

they are legit. i would personally go for fiber optic over tritium if you a buying a gun for ipsc. that being said i have a kimber with meprolight tritium sights front and rear that i plan on using, just because thats what ive got.

Sights are sights, they are either optical or not. Optics allowed in Open, all others are done in the other divisions, Fiber optic, tritium, good Ol' plain black, adjustable or fixed. The only other rule that applies is that in production Divison you can't modify the slide to fit alternate sights.
