I want to upgrade my holster for IPSC. Currently using a 1911 stuffed in a Uncle Mikes. I've read the various threads here, and looked around the net a bit.
I think I've narrowed it down to: CR Speed, Super Ghost Holster or Speedec. For some reason, I'm drawn to the Super Ghost Holster. (look cool factor?)
With the cost on these are about the same, give or take a bit, are there any glaring issues with these I should consider? Pros or cons that put one above the others?

Thanks
(E)

They're all good Holsters...the Ghost and Speedsec are the best of the 3 (in my humble opinion)

Ghost has more possable adjustments for holster position
Speedsec has a better locking lever (bigger and easier to draw the gun form a locked holster)

My personal favourite is the Speedsec (I have 3)

Ghosts have the reputation for dropsies....but they're really good. CR's are great too, I've got one of each and would probably also consider the Guga Ribas if I needed another.

The most critical factor is what you like, and what feels good for you. Good luck and have fun choosing!

Ghost holster works best with guns with square trigger guard (ala SxI). If you are using a single stack 1911, CR Speed probably would be your best bet.

the old Ghosts were the ones with gun dropping problems. The new ones work equally well with square or rounded trigger guards. I love my Super Ghost, but don't discount the Gugas Ribas either, if I had a 1911 that'd be the one for me.

Guga's is very well made......I'm planning on getting another one for my second belt....I also have CR and Safariland 012....but only use the Guga.....;)

I use a guga for glock, and it's.... OK.

Fast, yes, adjustable... can I get an "amen"!?!

But it's pretty sloppy. When it's unlocked, the gun seems to want to fall out if nudged in any way. Not real cool. That said, I tried a buddy's glock in 'er today, and it was fine. YMMV.

Are you sure that the weight of the gun is engaging the primary safety? That does not happen in mine...
