any one have a list of clubs (ranges) that have nights where they have a Practice night for shooters that want to come out and shoot ipsc or idpa i know of a couple clubs but would like to know if theres anymore in the GTA area

The first question is do you have your NSO course done for IDPA or your BB course for IPSC? Then look for clubs. I am pretty sure Target Sports has a league night for both.

EESA is IPSC on 2nd and 4th Tuesday

IDPA on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday.

For IDPA:

Target Sports every Thursday night.

The Marksmen Club 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month

Peterborough usually has monthly match on a Saturday

Ajax is coming on board very soon and will be every Thursday night.

Correction - Target Sports every Wednesday @ 7pm. I run the IDPA for the club there. I suggest you take an nso course first and get your certificate for out of house shooters that want to join us. This will be strictly enforced. I need to see your NSO certificate and a gold card so I know everyone has had the same training across the board. Esp. if its your first time at our facility. Once in a while NSO classes run up at sharon Gun Club. Contact Dave Parkes for info on that he is the club contact there.

If you have any questions about idpa at Target email me at targetsportsidpa@gmail.com

$20 for a practice night? Holy ####

20 is not much. Its 25 at the outdoor oshawa gun club as a guest. The 20 covers costs like the targets, sticks that end up getting shot, the heat that keeps you warm so you can shoot inside, electricity and the filters that provide cleaner air out on the range. And it also helps cover repairs to props some guests get a little 'physical' with.

Its not to much when you think of it.

One thing to remember when it comes to Target Sports is that it is a retail operation and in that $20 which you pay to Target, the business supplies all the targets, props, etc. and the $20 is for guests, club members shoot N/C.

Grantmedic, thank you for the correction sorry for the wrong information on your shooting night.
