IPSC Matches/Mentor in Manitoba???

I am just getting into handguns but have been into rifles for years. I want to compete in IPSC and maybe some other action shootings games. I'm not sure what is available and would like to try a few disciplines. Can anyone tell me how to find out where matches are in Maniotba? Better yet, can anyone from manitoba mentor me on how to get started and how to be competitive?

I joined the Firing Line in Winnipeg last week and want to get started as soon as I get back from the SHOT Show week after next. Please PM me if you have any info or time to help a new shooter.

Since you just joined the Firing Line, Wednesday night is a regular practice night. We start around 7:00 p.m. and go till 10:00. There is also a match on Feburary 12/06, and that starts around 8:30a.m. - 9:00a.m. and gets done around 3:00 p.m. In the winter this is our main match location. In the summer time we bounce between Brandon and Selkirk with a couple other locations mixed in. Hope to see you out soon.

I will be at the SHOT show until the 13th, so I will miss the match. I'll try and get out on the Wednesday after though so I can check out the practice. I have custody of my kids every second week and it might be tough to get out until the following, unless I can find a sitter by then. If I don't make it, I'll see you the following week!
