I just noticed that the National IPSC website has a ranking list for the last three years posted, 2007 - 2009. Will these be the years used to qualify for teams for the World shoot next year, or will this years Nationals be included? I would certainly like to drop my 2007 score for what I expect to be an improvement this year. I'll still be a long shot, but it's nice to dream.

Good luck getting MDs to run more ICS stages. They suck and people either hate them or practice them until they aren't relevant anymore. And as noted ICS has nothing to do with WS Teams.

I would disagree with you there Rob. while there are not the greatest stages because they are designed to be set up just about anywhere including indoor ranges i have no problems with setting them up on qualifiers. if people want to practise them and grand bag what do i care. the truth in the pudding comes done to wear your place in Provincials or Nationals. everything else is just for fun.

Just to update, I received a PM informing me that this years National scores will be included for the World Shoot next year. So that means your 2 best scores from 2008 - 2010 at the Nationals will be the ones to determine your overall placement. :dancingbanana:

regardless of the intention behind ICS stages, they are for the most part boring and unimaginative stages.

Great news! That means I still have a chance! Let's dance together:dancingbanana:

LOL,...if you even did 10% lower (90%) within Canadian Shooters performances,..you would still be a shoe-in!

If you look at the results from the 2007, Angus won,..but for 2007 placing, Nick was 100% as he was the top Canadian shooter.

What about the next year scores? I suppose we are going to have another Nationals before the World Shoot in 2011.

No,..I think it would be 2008-2009-2010,....????I think it is best 2 out of 3 results....

We don't normally use the scores from the same year of a WS as we don't even know when its going to be held yet for sure.

You wil have no problems getting a slot if you wish to go. Canada has never filled it's allocation of available slots. This ranking thing is just smoke and mirrors.

What, you don't think that I can beat Angus? :p

Unless you are trying to get on the teams, then its pretty important information.

Yes the selected teams get some $$$ help. But if a person is relying on the little bit of funding from IPSC Canada to attend the Worlds. They honestly can not afford to go. We are talking bout Greece...Getting there and the $400US match fee is going to be the cheap part.

Just my .02

Cheers
