Assisted with an inaugural BB course at our local range here this past weekend; various shotgun sports are common here but trying to increase the profile for pistol sports by getting a few more pistol shooters onboard for organized competition style events. Some new shooters, some old hands, but all had a good time and looking forward to incorporating more of the same into our local range routine. Both IPSC NL and our local range board were great support and all onboard to help make this happen.

Hey Brian, well with yourselves, now us, Clarenville, St.John's, (and I hear Elliston is on the radar too) there is developing a pretty good little network that can hopefully lead to more interaction between clubs. As for practicing new moves, I still got a lot of old moves I need to practice on LOL!

You would think in a province where the people are very comfortable with firearms, That IPSC, IDPA and 3Gun would be more common place. Really glad to see you guys growing the sport. Doesn't take much to set the hook once you pique their interest.
Would love to shoot a few matches back home. Nice work and thanks for showing us the progress.

IDPA is alive and well at the St. John's Rod & Gun Club.

Like CV32 said, IDPA and IPSC are alive and well on the NE Avalon area, and I thoroughly enjoyed my IDPA participation for the couple years I still lived in the area after discovering same. Living outside the Avalon though, as I do now, the networking is a bit more challenging but we're trying!

I missed the DL course this year (was away) but am interested in doing this whenever it is offered again. Although I'd prefer to do it in DL, I'd go anywhere on the island to do it. Any word on a repeat?

Heard that this year's course was great! Had a couple of buddies do it.

Word is,there may be another.
I’ll ask.

Pretty much so,
We get together and do practice match’s.
Apparently getting a RO to put off a course , is very difficult.

We've had a few unsanctioned matches too now, but following the rules book - working great so far. IPSC RO course maybe this fall I've heard.
