IPSC Ontario 2006 Provincials?

Hungrybeagle,

It's soooo ironic that you have just asked this question...

I was just going to all the IPSC Provincial sites and trying to find the dates of all the provincials. (Like I mean 5 minutes ago...just before coming back to GunNutz)

Let me guess, after the adventures in Ecuador, you are thinking about staying a little closer to home... me too.

How come your (IPSC BC) match schedule is in a password protected part of the site???

IPSC BC Provincials Dates??

Oh, no idea who is even applying to host ONT Prov's...

Cheers Eh?

Actually, I enjoyed the trip quite a lot, I'd go back if there was a major match, despite all of the problems that we had. I think that knowing there were problems makes us all more aware how much more planning would be required in advance.

Actually, I know that IPSC Ontario had their match last year during the Canada Day long weekend, and knowing that you guys had a "shoot 1 out of 3 days" format is very interesting. I'm trying to see if I can hit the Ontario Provincials, and then catch the Alberta Provincials on the way back home...

Typically the IPSC BC Provincials are on the Labour Day Long weekend. Next year, we're looking at a possible shoot 1 out of 3 days, don't work at all format (unless you're an RO), but that's only an idea, not a promise.

I'm not sure why the IPSC BC match schedule is in the PW protected site. Take it up with the webmaster.

yeah... I know there are only so many long weekend in the summer, it's unfortunate that LD is also the time for the PQ provincials - given they are so close, it's hard to justify going to the BC match instead....

How many stages would be required for a Provincials?

LEVEL III Match

Requirements:
IPSC rules and approved targets
Competitors must be IPSC members
Certified officials
Match Director
Range Master (if needed)
International Sanctioning
International Course of Fire approval
Chronograph
Three month advance registration with the President of IPSC
Inclusion in the International Match Calendar

Recommendations:
Minimum of 150 rounds
Minimum of 8 stages
Minimum of 150 competitors

As a matter of interest...I looked over the Provincials I still have in WinMss...

This year in KTown
11 Stages 252 rounds (Plus Chrono)

Guelph was about the same in 2003
11 stages 230 rounds

Cheers

Thanks Quigley.............

I knew what the recommendations were but I wanted to know what has historically has been provided.

Hmmm

11 stages?? 250+ rounds??

Well my 3 gun match next month is 10 stages and 180 rounds..................
very interesting...........very interesting indeed!

I think that after we have a few more Level II matches under our belt EESA might just have to put in a bid.

I mean the 3 gun match does not even use our 300 m range we could easily put more stages in ( pending CFO approval for action on that range.)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
