IPSC Ontario Match SIGN UP

...what we need now is more clubs with IPSC Affiliation...

I'd like to approach some of the clubs from a few years back to see if we can get them back inot the fold...

Any suggestions?

Well I remember we used to shot at Trenton, Haliburton, Silverdale & Chatham. They all had great matches, Tenton and Chatham both had some great Level 3 matches. ;)

You can write Chattam off, from what I understand it was the Windsor/Kingsville crew that did those matches. Kingsville is dead and Windsor doesn't have the resources to be putting matches on up there even if we could get the range.

there was Pioneer in Kitchner as well ...they put on the best matches in the province with I might add some of the best props around...a full castle on the range complete with drawbridge and Rumpesal and he hair coming from the tower...but sadly the guys responsible for those matches quit and pioneer's outdoor ranges got closed due to the city growing around them

The system is working great...

Resurecting an old thread, and giving a good example from today..

Take a look at the EESA blizzard blast III.. On tuesday it was sold COMPLETLY out, me and a friend took the last 2 spots on a saturday squad..

Now.. it's Saturday night, half way through the match schedule.

Only 4 out of the 8 on our squad showed up, and looking at the schedule there are now 17 slots open.

Wonder how many people didn't shoot cause they couldn't get a good slot, that was taken up by someone who cancelled at the last minute. ??????

I wonder how many other online booed matches have this same problem. ?? It's lost revenue for the clubs, and lost oppertunities for people who would actually have shown up to shoot..

This will happen regardless of the method of registration...

Asking for payment in advance is the only way to avoid it...

I think there could be other ways as well, but it has to be recogonized as a problem that should be solved first..

Pioneer shut down for more reasons then that. A lot of it was in club politics, basically campers vs. shooters. What used to be Pioneer has now turned into a very well to do sub-division that is true but that happened as a result of what happened in the club.

Sharon used to do some great level III's with awesome props too. It is a lot of work to put on matches that size and I think that and some "bad" feelings between the match organizers and IPSC on certain issues lead to the end of their big matches.

well, we just finished the wentworth spring match... I don't think we had any real number of no-shows, few people coming late and shooting on different squads, but that's about it...

I just mention it because some people where complaining that the reason this match 'sold out' so quickly was because people who didn't really intened to come where just taking up the slots, only to pull out at the last moment...
