I recently shot my first match, and Iam hooked big time, due to the fact that I have to drive several hours to compete and spend the night in a hotel, would it be possible to pay to shoot the course more than once on back to back start times to get the most shooting possible for the day and hours that I drive?

Not likely. more than one person, would than love to take another run at a stage for the fun of it and blast away , but than the schedule would be out of wack & delay the next slotted squad.

if it's small match level 1 (weekly practise match) or level 2 w/ not a full schedule & you ask nicely, you may get a chance at it, but after everyone has shot it & if the organizers are not too tired.

Actually...it would be up to the discression of the Match Directors.

It would likely not happen at big matches...or any match that is booked and sold out in advance...but I have seen it happen. The only rule / policy to consider is...you shoot the first time for score...and next time for fun.

My recommendation...book the first squad...volunteer to help out in the late morning / early afternoon squads...try and shoot again (for fun) on the last squad (and book this all in advance)

Like I said...not going to happen at sold out matches...but not an issue for matches that have the slots available.

Regards

What are the chances of you running a match in your own area? Search around, maybe you can get 5 more guys in your area interested and start your oun club. No easy job of course, but it would be good for the shooting community.Or you could move, if you consider moving you have to consider the USA.

The only time I have ever seen "shooting for score" allowed in more than one Division at the same match was at a USPSA "Special Classifier" match at Custer, WA. The club received special permission from USPSA to allow people to shoot each of 3 "Classifier" stages again (after the match ended), in a Division other than the one that they shot the match in. I managed to get Classified in Limited and Limited 10 on the same day. IIRC, it cost $5 a stage.
That's what I love about America....there's nothing that money can't buy. :D

Yes, but the special classifier matches only let you shoot that Special Classifier stages, not the entire match. Plus, your score cards are not included with the match regular stats (although they are entered into the scoring program).

Up here in Sudbury, most of the matchs are a least 4-5 hours away, I was just curious if I could get more bang for my buck. Dont get me wrong the drive is definatly worth it.
