IPSC rifle

Hey fellas, just wondering what kind of optic would work best? and distant I could expect from an IPSC rifle match??

Something in the 1x4 or 1x6 range will serve you well. A great optic is the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 1x6 depending on your budget.

Here in ON mostly 50-100m long shots.

Eotech EXPS 3-0 with the G33.sts... Costly but I was nailing a gong at 500 yards.

In ON, the matches will have targets at distances from 3 m to 100 m for the most part. Many people running dual sighting systems such as scope and red-dot or scope and iron-sights. Many of the targets will be IPSC mini targets (potentially partially masked) and maybe steel. Most seem to run 1-6 scopes but they seem slightly slower than the red-dots or holo-sights. The scopes rule past 50 m.

We may see some matches reaching out past 200 m next year.
