I'm taking the Black Badge course next week and I can't wait!

Question - I had a webpage link to videos of the 2005 IPSC Nationals. The link no longer works. Where can I find these? They're perfect for showing people what IPSC looks like (and for carefully studying).
 
That's too cool. I was actually going to post the exact thread because some of the guys I am going to see next year have never seen/heard of IPSC but they love shooting :D German laws are worse than ours insofar as that most shooting is from a line, lots of single shots, almost no targets other than simple ring targets... sad really.... One of the guys is coming over here next year and he has already said he wants to try some other handguns (acquiring handguns in Germany is one short step away from Hell) and I can bet that when he sees these videos, he's gonna get gun-horny *LOL* :D

Awesome. I know they will love this stuff. My big concern is actually the pistol acquisition and it would not surprise me to learn that 95% of German IPSC shooters are LEO or military. The prerequisites to buying any handgun in Germany are nuts (you have to be able to hit X number of rings with that gun BEFORE you buy the gun) then you need club approval and then government approval and so on. Cops and military have it a bit easier and most of their duty guns could be used for IPSC (lots of Sigs). Also, AFAIK, there are limitations on the amount of ammunition and/or gunpowder you can buy in a year and that might prohibit some people from participating (rather spend their powder allowance on something else... ) That said, nothing is impossible (hell, they are even getting some cowboy action shooting started). I would love to be able to take my guns over their but for the 10 days I will be there, it is hardly worth the hassles (especially since we will be in a few other countries over those 10 days).
