Ok where would a S&W 686 Revolver fit into the Revovler Class if you were shooting 38 spl out of it

actually using a revolver might give you a distinct advanage.
All you have to do is brag just before you shoot that your gonna clean up and beat all the other shooters and your gonna do it with a revolver,,,,,, I know that if you did that at our club the guys would never get a shot of while they're busy laughing and you'd win.

There's a wheel-gunning old man from Windsor who regularly whips 20 or so of us IDPA'ers at the monthly matches. Master class shooter, makes it look easy.

Shooting revolver at IPSC / IDPA shoots always draws out the comments but I suspect most of them want to try it sometimes themselves.

A 686 and major is kind of a handful, most people who shoot a 686 choose to shoot minor so they can get faster follow up shots. If you want to shoot major, you'd be better off getting a 610 or a 625 as these two make major easily and have the weight to dampen recoil.

Do you get more time to complete el Presidente in the black badge course if you use a revolver?

With this in mind, do you guys who have your black badges think is would be tougher to pass the course using a revolver?

I'm considering doing the BB course so I can start with PPC then potentially 'move up' to IPSC (Black Badge = PPC + IPSC; CSSA Holster Qualification = PPC only)

Thanks for your advice.

You will still have to take the PPC course to compete.

Thanks for your advice.
