Iron sight swap ability?

I have a line on a set of Remington 700 iron sights and wanted to know if they could be installed on my Winchester XPR Sporter?

It’s .632

You might need to reprofile the radius on the underside of the bases to fit the profile of the barrel, I’ve done it with 220grit paper by hand.

With that muzzle diameter, drilling and tapping would be practical.
No idea what the going rate for the job would be these days.

There is a quicker, easier way if you have access to a mill machine...just cut a square-cut groove in the base so both sides that are left contact the barrel equally.

Yeah, that would work if you were d&t them and I do have a mill.

I soldered these on a 12g so I wanted as much surface area as possible for the solder joint.
