Hi Guys,

I have this Mossberg® 500 Pump Shotgun Combo. Sometime ago I installed a Bushnell micro red dot sight, but I'm not quite happy with the outcome. The sight sits too high, for me. I can't get a proper cheek weld, so every time I shoot it feels almost like I'm shooting from the hip. Has anybody tried installling iron sights on this barrel?

What I think I need is a rear sight that is mountable on the rail and the front sight that's mountable on the bare barrel.

Any comments / suggestions?

Had the same issue with my mossberg. I changed out the stock for one with adjustable cheek riser. Solved my problem and made the gun easier to shoot.

Likely a more costly option would be getting Tactical Ordnance to install sights on your shotgun.

There are rear sights that will fit on your existing rail but it may be hard to find a clamp on front sights that with the correct sight height. EX Tactical Shotgun sights are made for Mossberg 500. The rear sight is on an integrated rail so your rear rail would have to be replaced. The front sight clamps to the barrel. Unfortunately these are very hard to find outside the U.S.
