Anybody know of suitable after market iron sights, or acceptable substitute for factory irons, for a Sako AV rifle? An online search turned up one or two locations to obtain OEM factory iron sights, but holy smokes Batman...it would be almost $500 to buy them. So, obviously I'm looking for a suitable after market alternative. Anybody know or have an idea of what might work?

Someone on the EE a while back was looking for a C-Note each, IIRC, for two different variants of the Factory rear for the Sako taper dovetail.

Kinda a neat little rig and all, but I doubt I'd get any use out of them if I owned them...

Would not be too tough to make if you had some machine shop skills, as I recall they only uses opposing screws to adjust point of aim. (loosen one, then tighten the opposite one to move, four screws total)

Might be able to modify a scope mount to work at the back, add the remains of an adjustable sight to it. Basic clamp on front sight.

The rifle is scoped, so this is the aesthetic I'm looking to achieve:

Gotta be someone out there that is making a suitable Express sight along the lines as would be appropriate.

Checked out the NECG sights?
