Is 1320 rds of 7.62x39 for 219 a good deal?

Found a place that has 7.62x39mm surplus for 219 plus tax,
Never gave much thought to getting a SKS before, but is that a decent price for the surplus stuff still?

Pretty much the average going price. If you do the math, that's 17 cents per round... Add to that the SKS, and for less than $500 all included you have a great semi-auto rifle and enough ammo for many, many trips to the range - if that's not a great deal I'm not sure what else could be.

SFRC had them on sale last week for $179. Don't know what shipping would cost.

Yeah, they finally clued in that asking over $300 was way too much. The pile that's been sitting on the floor of the Winnipeg store for nearly a year is finally starting to get whittled down. Think I'm probably going to snag one too, though I still have plenty stored up. Anyone know if it's Romanian or Bulgarian? I can't recall....

Henry at Budget had the same deal on x39 Czech with the free shipping. Ammo seems to be off his site temporarily though, something about a license issue...

With Tradex, as soon as you put one thing in the cart with "free shipping" - the whole order goes free shipping. At least it has for me in the past. So, given he has good prices on ammo, good prices on SKS, and if you buy both in the same order, free shipping... It ends up being a whopper of a deal, really.

Yeah not bad.

I paid 150 for a crate on stripper clips.

Then the price went up to 189.

Las time I bought was 205.

TradeEx seems to consistently offer the best prices and almost always has free shipping on surplus crates. I pretty much only order my surplus from them these days.

yep thats decent. most places locally (here anyways) sell them for 279-300 per case. I jumped on 3 of them when they were on sale for 199. now im good for a few years LOL
