Going to buy benelli M4... The issue is this, I want the entry model but its restricted, i can buy the 18 inch model that is non restricted but I really want the entry but the non restricted would be easier to take into the field if I wanted. If I took the restricted into the field do you think anyone would even question that its restricted? What to do???

Well, first off if you take your Entry into the "field" you could possibly be arrested, get charged, lose your $2000 gun, the list goes on. If going into the field is your goal get the non-restricted. Restricted means range toy only for all intents and purposes. I had an Entry a while back and for me, the LCF factor was the highest of any tactical shotgun out there

I personally try to avoid the Restricted class... There are somethings you can't avoid, like the AR15 family of firearms or handguns... But, in this case, you can avoid the Restricted classification & the headaches associated with it by buying the longer barreled version...

I have a Dominion Arms Grizzly with the 12.5 inch barrel. It's a cool gun & has ALWAYS worked... BUT, I am on the waiting list for a Kel-Tec KSG & recently got notice that it is expected to be 'in country' in the next couple weeks... So, when that happens, I will have my newest camp/bear gun & it's non-restricted to boot!!!

Cheers

Is 4" worth it?
IMO no.

I hunt with my m4.
Use it as a tacticool turkey gun and think it is perfect for it.

Non-restricted is much more versatile.

I wish I liked pumps! The new ust-15 is cool as well. I really want a short barrel semi. Would a fixed stock m4 with the 14 inch barrel be illegal or restricted? I see non restricted 12 and 14 inch barrels all the time.the entryis only restricted because of the overal length due the collapsable stock I think. Any one out there know?

The super 90 is the most badass shotgun on the face of the earth. At the risk of breaking some hearts I'll say it sh*ts all over the SPAS-12. that being said being restricted is like owning a race car in the city. You have to trailer it to the track and can't legally drift around shopping carts in the Walmart parking lot. Just not as much fun to be had.
