Is a 10/22 a Mk 1, 2, or 3 (when changing the extractor)

I am replacing a 10/22 extractor with a Volquartsen Exact Edge and it has a note that states 'Use the factory spring when installing in a Mk II or III'.

The package comes with a spring and extractor.

So before I start ripping this apart does anyone know how you can tell the difference between the versions?

Go ahead and use the spring that came with your kit.

So are u telling me Ruger uses the same extractor in the 10/22 as their 22 pistols, just diff spring in the mark ii and iii's? Interesting!
