Was offered a trade for my shotgun.

I would be getting my first enfield. I haven't gotten one yet because the prices seem to be all of over the map especially with the dummy's that list a non matching rifle or bubba for $900 or more.

What I am asking too all the enfield owners. Is a no 4 mk2 that's gone thru ftr around the 1950's worth $600-$700 in trade value.? New blueing and new wood. Its spotless. Looks like it hasn't been shot since the ftr process.

Is it a true No.4 Mk.2 or a No.4 Mk.1 upgraded to Mk.2 specs through FTR and therefore a No.4 Mk.1/2? The reason I ask is that Mk.2 in unissued condition can fetch over $1000, No.4 Mk.1/2 can go from $650 to $900 depending on condition. For instance I have a No.4 Mk.1 that went through FTR, however it did so at Maltby, not Fazakerley. It’s the only Maltby FTR rifle I have had my hands on as they are a bit more rare since the Maltby factory shut down shortly after the war. The FTR at Maltby only replaced small parts, as such the receiver, bolt, wood, and mag are all original to my rifle so I paid a bit of a premium for it. A standard Faz FTR where anything could have been mixed and matched I would probably pay $700 for.

Hope this helps, No.4 are awesome rifles and is my second favourite milsurp after the K98
