Is anyone still purchasing the SKS?

Those Chinese sks rifles from Tradex are the deal of the century. I didn't take them up on the ammo offer. I should have though. $189/rifle and $220/1200 cartridges = free shipping. Whole thing, under $450 including accessories.

Deal of the century is what the rifle and ammo is going for in Europe. :D

no stamped parts, other than trigger guards.

Stamped isn't all that bad, besides which the magazine, gas tube brackets, trigger assembly parts, and probably more are stamped. :D

Sooner or later the bubble will burst for the lower priced shooter Russians and Chinese. How many more of this type can our market absorb? There will remain a collectors market though for non-refurbs and very rare refurbs. You will see it start to stratify too as to the rarest, and how the pinning was done.

May be we have the deal of the Century-to buy a semi-auto rifle for the price of cheap bb gun

The rifles are built to milspecs for the military and are some of the best I've seen in a long time. New, all matching, decent wood, chrome lined bores and no stamped parts, other than trigger guards. They aren't frankenpinned either.
My chinese one, not from Tradex, has a milled trigger guard.

I sold my 2 russian unissueds because I found 2 sks-d's. I stil have an early shinese sks that I am making a thumbhole stock and POSP scope setup on for more of a vintage, mini dragunov wanna be setup. They are great cheap rifles and rock in the bush in my opinion. I will get another when I am doen these ones and tactical it up for a cool lookng range show up gun. My boy can shoot that one.

i grabbed up three 5/30 metal mags for the sks at 65 dollars each, and epps has the best deal hands down at 179 for a norinco CHROME lined sks, also ammo is still 179 a case. dont tell anyone because they are my back up incase marstar does not get norinco chrome lined sks's in and at a price like 150 or less. I just dont know anymore but at least with all these sks's my mags are looking awful nice. maybe even throw on a tapco and you have a poor mans m4.
