Is arisaka Receiver worth anything?

IMHO, the value in an Arisaka starts with the markings. Is the flower on the receiver ring intact or ground off? From there, I only know that some American gun writers found that the Arisaka action and bolt was incredibly strong - almost too strong to blow up.
i do not see the flower. Just japanese writing on top.
Some of the crests were ground off in and aesthetic manner and it is difficult to tell the crest was ever there.
The problem with your receiver is that it is bare and after market parts to make a decent sporter out of it are next to impossible to find. The receivers are some of the strongest built for military purposes. Parker Ackley did a blow up test on them along with several other firearms from different nations. The Arisaka couldn't be blown up with the cartridges they were using. All of the others had catastrophic failures and extremely high pressures.
The Arisakas also have recessed chambers very similar to those on Remington 700s and a cut out extractor slot. Just makes it a bit more difficult to index properly with proper tension.
IMHO unless this receiver is special for some reason or you can access a bunch of free parts and do the work yourself, it would make a very decent paper weight.

Without the rest of the action parts, I cannot see the point in trying to make a rifle around it. Not as if it is a Lee Enfield with many parts available. As far as barreling goes, it is my understanding that the threads are an odd size.
Unless it is worth it to you. And you don't mind keeping it for the rest of your life or selling it for less than it cost you. Someone who wants to buy anything exactly like your custom car/bike/gun etc. is rare.
It has value and can be built upon.
I had complete several stock sets, for Type 38 and Type 99 short. Even a mint complete set with bands,folding bayonet all original blue for Type 44-let that one go for 160.
For any real value it must have the Chrysanthemum, Type__, gas vent holes and not messed with. Arisaka strongest military actions in the world.
