I’ve got a Ruko Squires and Bingham model 16r semiauto. It has easily shot a million rounds thru it , maybe 2. A while back I was having troubles with it with FTF, FTE and stove piping even after cleaning. I’ve tried 14 different brands of ammo and nothing would work well enough to be reliable/fun to shoot. This gun has never liked CCI (everybody’s favourite) and not even HV ammo would work. I figured it to be finally wore out! A tear down of the bolt showed nothing broken. In the safe it goes out of frustration and haven’t shot it for a few years. As I am shopping about a year ago I found Browning BPR hollow point, 40 grain at 1430 fps, and bought it to try out. I used it other semi auto .22’s and it worked good. Then I remembered my 16R!! It tried it and am amazed that it works in this gun. 100 rounds and 2 FTE is amazing for this gun. So then I started looking for more ammo that has a FPS rating of 1400-1500 and kinda shocked to find one other, the CCI velocitor! A few years back we could not get the velocitors in my neck of the woods, and It also shoots reliably. Wow. Am I missing other Ammo out there or is this it??
