is CanAm now charging the tax for for the destination province?

If you have a question about their tax, why ask here? I'm sure they have email or tel number available.

Yes, we are federally registered thus must collect either GST and HST according to province.

So you're federally incorporated and have to collect all provincial and federal sales taxes, but if you were provincially incorporated or a small business you would just need to collect 13% for ontario and 5% for everywhere else, correct?

No kidding. Combining the taxes was another stupid move by the ONT Criminal Government

Not as bad as the BCs switch to the HST.

Like 3 months after an election the Liberals go SURPRISE! We're introducing the HST.

This causes such an outrage, we hold a referendum on it, and vote to repeal the HST, even though it would cost the province a bunch of money that the Feds gave us for the transition, AND they were going to drop the HST from 12% to 10%... SO even though the HST was actually the better option long-term with the 2% tax drop, we got rid of it. Just to prove a point to the government.

And then we reelect them next election anyways...

At least Alberta was TRYING to do something about the government they didn't like voting NDP, in BC everyone who voted to repeal the HST then voted Liberal screwed themselves (and the rest of us) TWICE...

GST/HST is always charged; Welcome to Canada.

Yup, too bad the BC Lieberal were thieves that lie about the HST as it would have been better in the long run. If your kid stole money from you to gamble and win do you praise them for winning???
We hated the Lieberal but hated the NDP/Union hacks even more.

Not incorporated, registered with CRA to collect federal tax.

FWIW I am a huge fan of VAT/HST
