Is fibre optic front sight IPSC Production legal?

I have a CZ SP-01 and I want to change the front sight to fibre optic. Is it legal to have FO front sight in IPSC Production?

Yes, so long as you do not have to cut or alter the slide to install it.

Unless the slide has been modified due to "natural wear and tear" on the gun.

HKFan: Did you have the front sight installed by a smith? I bought it too but I understand you have to drill it a bit. Did you get the competition rear sight also and installed by a smith?

Without the right tools you wont get the rear site off and what part about not altering the slide did you miss? Mod the site not the slide,,,, hmmm where do i know a good smith in the lower mainland?????? I think hungry beagle has a dremel.

Not sure. Mine was done for me.

I would recommend you get a gunsmith or dealer to do it - not because it requires altering the slide, but it is a sticky job that you can mess up without the right tools.
