Ok,
So I've been struggling with my Glock 22 consistently shooting to the right for longest time. About 2" at 15 yards.
I've been working on grip against thumbing and heeling and such with no resolution.
Last week I had the occasion to shoot it off a totally supported platform as I did some load development. It was on a bench, with the fore end of the gun on a rifle rest and the bottom of the grip on a rear bag. My grip was just light enough to hold the gun still while I concentrated on pulling the trigger slowly to the rear.
It still shot 2" to the right.
Now I'm thinking that the gun will never be held that steady and it still shot right. I'm also thinking that it is an old LE return so the sights may have been previously adjusted or took a few knocks along the way.
My question to the more knowledgable:
a) Is it time to start thinking the sights are the problem?
If so:
b) Which direction do I drift the rear sights (I'm assuming right) and by how much to get me back into the ballpark?
And:
c) Do I really need the tool or can I do with a vise, caliper and some sideways persuasion (perhaps a small hammer and punch, or c-clamp)?
Any input appreciated.
