Voyons check l'autre qui veut se trouver une raison pour montrer sa collection de balles avec une question sans but.... bravo.
Answer: It's useless. You only need ammo for the weapons that you have. Did you need me to tell you this?

Oh Hell yah I have a bunch of ammo for calibres I do not own. I purchased a lot of 3 boxes of mixed ammunition, was primarily 12G (300 ish rounds), 16G (100 ish rounds), 303 Brit (40), 30-378 Weatherby, 338-378 Weatherby, 22-250 (60 Rounds) 9MM (30 ish) .40, 7.62x25 (100 ish rounds) and a couple more I forget :). Anyway I am hanging on to it all since it really does not go bad if stored properly. I have fired a bunch of the 12G and everything went BOOM! I do not mind the space it takes up in my ammo locker since if I happen to buy a gun in those calibers I already have the ammo for it.

Regards,

Izzit

P.S. I paid $100.00 for everything in those 3 boxes was AWESOME and it included a Plano box thrown in!

Not really, I had bought some .223 once I started thinking about building an AR. Had the ammo long before I owned a single AR part.

If you don't like the question don't answer
Being rude in two languages does not make it any better

As for anyone else thank you for your assurance
and yes i do tend to stock up a little as i go for what is next on my wishlist
nothing worse than getting a new firearm and not being able to enjoy it a lot
without a large hit

cheers

I have ammo AND accessories for guns that I don't have. Sometimes it is bought in anticipation; other times left over from sales of the guns. Either way they are at worst, trade goods.

My first occurrence of this was while doing house renovations professionally. Found 7 boxes of 6.5 x 54mm MS. I didn't find a gun to shoot it for two years - turned out to be one of my keepers.

I had 200 rds of 8X56 R for several years before I found the right M95 and it wasn't til late last year that I finally got my M1 Garand and I have had the 47 enblocs and ammo for at least five years..... I just knew that sooner or later I would get one so grab the ammo if and when it comes available....So ..no it is not weird having ammo for a firearm that you have yet to acquire

you look normal to me
the real probleme is when you don't have ammo for a gun you have. oooouppsss!!!!

I loved reloading so much I started to reload for my Dad's guns and my brotherinlaw's guns. So I have a tonne of ammo for guns I don't own, in calibers I'll probably never own.
