I just purchased a Colt New Service revolver in .45 Long Colt for $50
The blueing has been completely removed with what looks like emery cloth or scotchbright. The barrel needs to be reindexed onto the frame and there is a chip missing from one of the grip panels (which is the same s/n as the gun).
The s/n is less the 1000 so I'm thinking this to be a very very early model.
I am also expecting to pay $500 to completely restore this gun including case colouring the hammer and extractor knob.
My question is, will it be worth more then the $550 that I have invested into it after the work is all done?
Thanks for your thoughts.
