I'm looking to purchase 303 in bigger and cheaper quantity than 20 rounds box for 25$+. Is there still some place around? I've been looking everywhere I know and people on here seem to always say it's still a super popular and available round but it ain't looking like it to me.

Thx for your input.

PS: Sorry if it's been answered already, I still can't use the search button for some odd reason, anything I search end up giving no result found for results..?

It's tough stuff to find. I have a bit of both kicking around. It's best to stockpile when you can find it. If you shop around you can find some commercial stuff for $22-$25 a box

Ight, so my research weren't bad...

Sad, was hoping for someone to point me to some magical place with crates still up for grab.

Thx for the info/confirmation guys.

I'm buying a bunch of cast lead .303 from Bullet Barn at the Kamloops gun show. Can't find the Hornady .312 174gr, bought the last 2 boxes of Hrnady .32 cal .312 pistol bullets I found, so cast lead it's going to be for me.

Finding brass is also a challenge...

make sure to slug your bore and go with bullet .002" over bore size

nope idk why you would think that heck even 7.62x54r is starting to dry up there's no endless supply of the stuff options for .303 is put up with the price of factory ammo or reload

I would think the cheapest and easiest is using the powder and bullet from a 7.62x39.

Have not tries it but I have heard anecdotal evidence that says it works.

I tried that once. I went clik with no bang and the bullet separated from the casing past the chamber and the powder spilled everywhere in the action. Maybe the bullet wasn't seated properly but I didn't try again.

Last year, I found a guy at a gun show selling Canadian surplus (1943 and 1950 dates)in unopened boxes, at $100 for 3 boxes of 48. I bought all 3, Thinking I hit the jackpot. Turned around, and he was putting 3 more boxes on the table behind me. I almost cried realizing my wallet was empty :( . I asked how much he had, and he wryly said, "Oh, just a bit (wink) " . Next time out, took out a wad of cash before the show, but none to be found. Ended up putting the money back into my account later that day.. still wondering if there was anymore stashed somewhere.

I was told there is some crazy stockpile that was opened up and there should be thousands for everyone... I go to walmart and buy about 100 rounds of Winchester 180 gr hyper x...
