Just wondering which one is better but someone told me that Uberti makes everything for Navy Arms is this true? for how long?

I'm no Expert in "Italian" replicas but I did dabble with them for a spell;)
Uberti makes the Best of the replica handguns(they also are the only manufacturer of the Replica Rifles,henry,1866,73 etc. regardless of who's name is on them).....Navy arms imports and resells Ubertis as well as some early Armi San Marcos(ASM) etc. and sells them as thier own.
Quality can be spotty....Cimmarron also repackages Ubertis as well but thier standards are higher and generally pick the Best of the lot, the prices usually reflect this.
Nothing wrong with buying a Navy Arms, they will work with some fiddling.
For the Best "Quality" I'd stick with a True Uberti:cool:
The one's I've had seemed to have the best fit and finnish etc.
Hope this helps....abit:rolleyes:

Navy arms is a U.S. importer. They have had contracts with many Italian gun makers to supply their finer black powder firearms.
Beretta has recently acquired Uberti and will be carrying on making high quality black powder firearms.

Of all the Italian replica manufacturers the Uberti products are cosistantly well fitted and finished.

Navy Arms was founded by Val Forget for the purpose of selling Italian made "Old West" type firearms. Uberti produces the lion's share of them.

BTW, Uberti has been making these since the 60s and many are featured in Sergio Leone's "spaghetti" westerns.
