This is probably a better option imo. I prefer to hand prime my rifle brass. For pistol it'll be slow anyways.

I agree, a friend of mine did some considerable shopping around as he is at home recovering from surgery. He ordered this same kit from Wholesale Sports just a couple of days ago. Shipping cost was also very reasonable...

The challenger comes with the hand primer kit with the shell holders for it. I got the challenger kit it works great only thing I upgraded was the scale. Check out
Rust wood trading Co they are a sponsor site and great to deal with a one stop shop for manuals , powder and everything g else you need to get started. At the time I bought mine it was cheaper their than at wholesale or canadian tire.

What is the major differnces in the two? I have been eyeing these as well...

The wholesale one comes with a hand primer and a set of shell holders. The Amazon one has the press mounted priming system and no shell holders. I bought the Amazon kit when I started but ended up buying a hand primer and basically a set of shell holders separately. I don't use the priming system either.

the amazon kit includes 2 breechlock bushings that the wholesale one doesn't.
the wholesale kit includes a set of shellholders that the amazon one doesn't. Can't say whether they're trimming shellholders or press shellholders.
the handprimers in the wholesale kit are a newer model than the amazon one.
the wholesale price is $30 lower.

Overall I would choose wholesale

I've been reloading since 1963.
I've had all types of loading outfits.
Don't buy a kit with the cheap Lee press.
The toggle is prone to breakage.
When mine broke they would not replace it.
It cost me $68.00 plus tax and plus shipping to get the new part.
I fixed it and sold it.
The Lee safety scale is nothing but plastic, you won't keep it long.
Get good equipment the first time and you won't regret it.
I like some Lee products, I own the big Lee press and it is sturdy and good.
I could tell you more. [still upset that they would not replace the broken toggle.]
I was resizing 223's when the toggle broke, it looked like it was made of cast steel.

I've ran my BL Challenger through tens of thousands of strokes without breaking anything. If they wouldn't replace it you must have abused it? They hardly ask questions when I need warranty from them and I've yet to have to pay for anything or had warranty declined.

Still using my 50th anniversary press. I have moved to an RCBS hand prime and the RCBS ChargeMaster for feel and speed respectively. The Lee powder thrower included in the kits is one of the best out there. The brand snobs won't admit it but it is the truth.
