Im looking for a mini reflex red dot for my 870, i like the pricing of the Burris but i want to make sure its fit for shotgun duties.

And the mandatory pic whoring for your pleasure. :)

I've run my FF on a 590a1 and a KSG with zero issues. Check out P&D for the fastfire II. I believe TDC wasn't trying to mention the speed bead optic mount in particular but to show they make 12 ga shotgun specific mounts meaning they obviously are meant to handle 12ga recoil

Burris also mentioned that this can be used on pistols. Has anybody ever used this Burris Fastfire on pistol? The pricing and reviews are very tempting. Though definitely not EoTech, it might be worth trying.

Got a FF 3, hope I can go out tomorrow to shoot it. What distance should I zero it for slugs? 50? 75? 100??? Im thinking 50 or 75... 100 may be to far for a 14.5? The gun will be mostly for HD with 00buck or birdshot, so the red dot is obviously for speed than pinpoint accuracy, but from time to time its fun to shoot slugs too :)

I've had one on a 590 for about 2years. Just moved to a 930.
Seems to be holding up fine. I zero for 50yds with S&B reduced
recoil slugs and it puts me on at 20yds with 00 buck. Worked
out pretty much perfectly. Good optic for a shotgun. Prefer it to
the Micro I had on there. Only thing I'd like to see is manual
intensity adjustment. Fine in daylight, but I find it a bit bright
at dusk/dawn.

This FF3 has 4 levels of brightness, the only thing I dont like is that on top of the rail it sits kind of high so I added a cheek riser but I may need to order the high kit, I ordered the low kit.
