I am talking about the 75 Shadow, NOT the SP-01 Shadow.

http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/75shadow/

I guess you can get them in the US, but what about us? Anyone know of a dealer that has brought them up here?

It is very similar to the SP-01 Shadow, but it does not have the full length dust cover and so makes IDPA weight without modifications. I would prefer to not have to get an SP-01, then have to order parts to make IDPA weight. This pistol would be for IPSC and IDPA.

I believe that the 75 shadow also comes with a competition hammer that a lot of guys are putting in to their SP-01 shadows.

I shot one last summer. This is a great pistol for IDPA. The one I shot had a better trigger than my SP-01 Shadow and was lighter. Felt recoil was no different than my regular Shadow. The gun balances better than the Shadow without the FLDC. About all you can do is bug the CZ distributer to bring them in or go through the import option yourself.

Thanks for the input guys. I contacted one of the Canadian importers who was telling me that the 75 Shadow may be something that is coming out of the US custom shop. All that he can get is the stuff that is listed on the CZ home page from the czech factory that you see at http://www.czub.cz

I will probably just get a regular SP-01 and lighten it later if I want to use it for IDPA, but the pistol is mainly for IPSC anyway. It is too bad that they don't bring something out like that here, but maybe they will in time. I bet they would sell a lot of them.

It wouldn't be worth importing one myself. The MSRP on the CZ website is around $1050, plus export fees from the US, plus import fees in to Canada. For the price difference I could get a whole other pistol for IDPA.

Or maybe I will get out the hack saw and have at er!

CZ-USA, a Subsidiary of CZ-UB is making them and the Distributor should be getting the guns from them. CFRAM I am told by Angus get the gun for you as well.

There is a thread here with a video by Nutnfancy of the Shot Show (about 40 minutes at the CZ display) and they go through the different models available at the custom shop. Good video except he keeps interrupting Angus.

I too am looking at the CZ75 Shadow but in T-SA.

I've contacted CRAFM and they can only get items that are on CZUB.

So during xmas...business member Praetorian posted this.

I've contacted them and the news is promising so far...we'll see.

I've had the Shadow for years...but still prefer my guns without a 1913 dust cover.

Single action is all I shoot nowadays.
