Is the G17 more accurate than the G22?

My title says it all. I'm curious why so many military personal use the G17 (IDF for example) but most North American police forces use the G22. Is the attraction of the G17 shooting accuracy and controlability?

No, the shooter makes the shot, the equipment used is quite irrelevant, especially when comparing identical guns with the exception of calibre.

I think Police forces use the .40 for that touch more stopping power where military uses the nato Round for universal ammo with All nato forces and Allies.

The short answer would be: Both pistols are as accurate as you can be!

Both pistols are more inherently accurate than most shooters can hold.
