is the market that flooded to see all those ar15 below $700?

SFRC has the DPMS Oracle for $679
Frontier Firearms has the S&W MP15 Sporter II for $699
Canada Ammo has their US-made AR for $699 (soon to be released?)

All these US-made ARs coming in at traditionally Norinco AR pricing.

It's starting to remind me of the AR price war of summer, 2014.

I wasn't really interested in restricted black rifles. At these prices though, it was a no brainer. Debating if I should add another. The problem with cheap ones is, they never really satisfy that itch...
Wondering if it'll affect the price of the norincos?

I fukking hope so. I've been eyeballing this one from Lever Arms for a while:

As I understand it, Norinco cold hammer forges their barrels, not so much for the sake of longevity of their barrels, but as a cost savings because apparently it's cheaper to manufacture this way. The longer lasting barrel life is just a bonus.

I've already got an SA20 and a 20" Colt HBAR build, but if Lever drops their price on their Norc built CQ-A1s in response to the dropping price of US-made ARs, I may have to grab a few Norcs as beater/loaner rifles.

Just curious, what is price of the Norinco now? And what sort of price difference between it and one of the above mentioned rifles would you consider it to be a better deal? Honest questions.

Hard to find Norinco prices below $679.00 these days, 2 years ago they could be had at some places for around $599.99.

I have had a lot of luck with my own Norinco CQA's and a CQB over the years, I still have a great working CQA made in 2011. Not sure what route I would go if I was into buying a economically priced AR today.

And now everybody else could be watching it!

I think the 20" version is already sold out.

100% false. There's nothing cost saving about cold hammer forging. The machines are extremely expensive and it's a longer process than button rifling.

Who knows , maybe the price will drop even further as the market becomes flooded with these various brands of ARs ; maybe the price will hit the 500 to 600 mark once we get into fall , and manufactures are looking to clear their inventories before 2018 .

but the same can be seen at the border and for a huge number of different kind.

i m getting an MPII as the price was too good and maybe there is a chance for lower price but who knows

One of the reason these budget ar15s arw so cheap is more then 35% of so called made in the usa. Ar15 parts are made in tiawan, Korea ans china.
2ND is the over stock.
Also machining costs and taxs arw lower in the usa

I have family they work as cnc operator in Texas and AZ. That make about $15/17 and hour. I pay my guys $30
