Is the May 13th Ottawa Milsurp shoot rain or shine?...nt

Yes - but we will shoot the stages under cover if it is raining.

A bit of rain never hurt anyone, and the guns were certainly designed to handle it.
 
I don't think it will be a screaming storm......just scattered light showers.
The benches are fixed to the concrete pad, so we can try shooting prone in between them, or on top of them........worst case we shoot the whole thing standing.....
It would be cool if people that are definatly coming, rain or shine, could post here.
If it's just me, Andy, and SKScanuck........:)
 
I will be there (something abut organizing it....).

Will have Swiss Vetterli in hand and a spare Turk Mauser to lend and ammo to "rent".

Will wear my Swiss uniform, hoping it will distract attention from my shooting. ;)

I want to be situated next to SKScanuck at the shoot. I'll get credited with all those stray shots of his that hit my target (they'll be the keyholed ones). ;)
 
Is someone putting up that last sheet of plywood? I put the supports up on the stand today.

I'll have my screw gun, screws and chainsaw if we have the wood somewhere tomorrow.

I was shooting one of my Carcanos today. Too bad I don't have 50 brass and time to work out a load. It shoots very nice...
 
Got some 30-06 ammo today (finally) that wasn't <outrageously> outside of my budget, just <outside> of my budget ... lol The shop didn't carry FMJ so i'm stuck with soft point hunting rounds, upon inspection when I got home most of the tips are bent, bashed etc... I should probably take a file of them and even things out a little but i'm too lazy/tired ... Should be interesting ...
