Its an AR-15, so yes, it is legal. Restricted, but legal.

If its not in Canada, you'll need an importer to bring it in.

$$$$.

Looked at the video on Stag's site, in your link above.

Nice looking rifle but if you intend to use it for 3gun, that compensator has to go.
that thing was pushing barrel around by 3 inches each shot.

Otherwise looks nice, and no reason why it can't be brought into Canada (except for maybe the collapsible stock)
You'll have to confirm with Arms East but I think the stock may be a no go.

I asked Arms East when these first came out and they said they were working on bringing them in but that it would be for a while before we see any.

The issue would be more like are they legal to export from the US. Like other have said, ask Arms East.

All civilian AR-15 that are legal in the states are legal to export/import here as far as i know. what can be a paint is having an exporter and importer, both with proper paperwork...THATS the real challenge. and the cash guzzler.

This is not true. 5.56 marked receivers and barrels are a no go so this would have to be chambered in .223 rem or .223 wylde

I stand corrected but...I thought it was the same in the states?? I.E. that all their civilian ARs had to be .223? since 5.56 is NATO...

Its just exports rules because all hell would break lose of a 5.56 firearm fell into the wrong hands. Those .223 on the other hand are harmless. I think flash hiders are a no go and collapsing/folding stocks but I am not as sure on that one.

You're right - military calibre markings, flash hiders, bayonet lugs and collapsing stocks are banned from export.
