Is the stock numbered on a K31?

If I got a K31 with metal in tip top shape, but with a poor stock, I'd like to be abe to swap out the stock and still have it matching.

If the stock is numbered than I can't do that.

Stock and handguard are numbered inside the barrel channel...

Check out the many articles about refinishing K31s. Just never dark stain any K31 beech stock. You need patience getting the stains out with wood bleach and lifting the dents with steam. It's ok to leave some "character" and the stamps behind and avoid reducing the butt so much that the butt plate looks over sized.
