I know there is lots on rimfire central but man o man it is information overload there. I just bought my first 10/22 used ,also bought a 920 GM barrel and a corelite stock to fit. I put it altogether and it shoots pretty good even with the stock trigger.3/8 groups at 25 yards and just over 5/8 at 50 yards. My question is how far should I go and where is the best place to get parts in Canada? I would like the trigger to be lighter but don't want to spend hundreds getting there. Any easy tricks or tips would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to buy VQ hammer and sear.It made a big differance in the trigger.I bought mine from P&d in edmonton but I think there a few more places in Canada to buy VQ parts.

Hawk is a great guy to deal with, and shipping to Canada is usually free.

If you want to stay with factory parts, Rodger at Dark International (Info@DarkInternational.com) will does 1022 trigger work.

I also do 10/22 trigger and hammer work but I'm out of the country until next April.
I live in Port Dover Ontario and can give 2 to 3 day turn around. I can drop the trigger pull to 2 to 3 lbs without problem.

If money is not a issue then I would highly recomend a Kidd trigger assembly. It's available from hawktecharms and is just under $300.00 american. It's not cheap but it absolutely, positively, the cleanest and sharpest trigger pull I've ever felt. While your at it get their receiver pin kit to eliminate any looseness of the trigger assembly. you won't be dissappointed.

skeetgunner.............abought what I expected. I think I'll take the trigger apart and see what happens. Worse case senario I'll buy new parts. Thanks for the responses guys

Tricking out a ruger

I ahave a ruger sitting in my safe and I was thinking about tricking it out and using it for gophers, however I was thinking it would be nicer to have the 22 mag or 17 tricked out. Has anyone done one and have pics and or comments?
