as it says i am trying to figure out if there is a replacement trigger for a h&r in .243 win or is there just a new spring i can put in as well as are there any good gunsmiths in Kawartha lakes Peterborough Durham or Toronto Ontario

Thanks for any advice for the record i want it done right i wont be attempting this myself just starting to research this and want to review products before making a decision

I doubt that they offer a decent aftermarket, but an experienced smith like Guntech could probably work wonders. Take the barrel and rear stock off for easy/cheap shipping.

There's not much of anything aftermarket for any H&R. No demand for aftermarket stuff for low end kit.
Wolf Springs does sell hammer springs but nothing for the triggers.
There is an exploded drawing in the manual(below). Changing the trigger spring(it's just a spring. replacing it with one of the same diameter and length but with less strength is what a smithy will do.) and polishing(NO ROTARY TOOLS OR FILES) all the mating parts of the hammer/trigger will help. Having a smithy do it will be expensive. Epp's smithy starts at $45 for trigger jobs. They usually run around $60 plus.
