Is there a gm6 lynx on the east cosst

That raises an interesting question, can you practice at a DNR range with them then, since I was told many moons ago by DNR that that was the whole reason for DNR ranges.

I seriously doubt the DNR ranges here in NS are templated for .50 but to be sure you'd have to check with the local DNR Depot that runs each range.

That said, the DNR ranges here aren't very long. All of the DNR ranges I've visited, and I've been to almost all of them, are typically less than 150 yards. Most are only 100 yards.

NSRA's Bull Meadows range is the longest non-military range in the province. The next longest would be 300 yards +/-.

The rifle range in Camp Aldershot is 600 meters but I seriously doubt it is templated for .50 as it is in the middle of farm country and historically they have had issues with 7.62 departing the camp and hitting civilian land. Not to mention it is not accessible by individual civilians.

On Cape Breton there are 6 DNR ranges and none are longer than 100 yards if I recall. The DND range at Sydney is only 300 yards long and again is not accessible by individual civilians. And that's it on Cape Breton.

There really are not many (if any?) opportunities for long range shooting here in Nova Scotia. Now if we could get rid of the arcane notion that anytime you have a firearm in the woods here you're either hunting or you're poaching, and you're presumed to be poaching unless you can prove otherwise.

Best of luck to you all.
