I figure if anyone knows this, it's the black rifle guys! :)

Bored, and when I got bored I like to wreck perfectly good gear by modifying it. This week, rattle can death!

Does anyone know the closest colour of spray paint Home Depot sells to dark earth? And suggestions of primer to use on plastic?

Sorry you're right, forgot everyone doesn't have a spray gun...although I believe Cloverdale paint used to offer custom spray cans...? Maybe it was ICI...now it bugs me, I'll call in the morning.
 
The krylon will most likely be your best bet.

But check how it works on the Plastic, some dose not stick. There is a few different kinds of paint designed for plastics. "plastikote" I think, maybe do a test piece and if it does not stick try priming with a plastic type paint.
 
Home Depot can match the paint, and there are paint shops that can put anypaint into a spray can for ease of use. Just ask at the home depot counter who does it, they will tell you. On taking the rifle in for paint match, take only a part that doesn't look anything like a gun, or you could cause a lot of unwanted grief simply by some silly bystander making an assumption. I am sure this is obvious however it never hurts to be reminded.
