I'm looking at one of the dealer sites to buy a SIG. Previously I had a 226. But am looking now at some other ones. However, they all confuse me.

Looking for 9mm.
But everything else, I don't know. Just looking for a chart of all the models whethers its DAO, SAO, DA/SA, single stack, double stack, railed...

I'm not looking for another 1911 style. I have a G17, and a 1911. I like that the G17 is sort of a double/single hybrid, I like that the 1911 is a SAO. I think I would like it to be a DA/SA, with a hammer. Whats what folks?

I' say that unless specified, 95% of Sigs are DA/SA.

DAO is actually called DAK.

There are a bunch of models, I'll break down the options:

Rail: Present on most models nowaday.
Beavertail: Present on most "more expensive" models (Elite, platinium elite, etc.. You like or not)
SRT: Short reset trigger, it shortens the reset by about 60%. Also present on most "expensive" models.
Short trigger: Present on most newer models (It's a thinner trigger for a shorter reach)
SIGLite night sights: 3 dots "metropolight" night sights.
Contrast sights: Usually plain "Dot the i" sights.

A good value (imo) would be the E2 (E Square) which includes SRT, Short trigger, 3 mags and night sights. It also comes with the new smaller grips (Which can be changed for the older larger grips).

Other "popular" option set are the "Elite" models.

Hope it helps; it's most likely what you want and how much you want to pay :)

Check out Questar (On top), they have good prices for Sigs.

Holy frickin LIGHTBULB batman. Fantastic.
I agree E2 seems bang for your buck.

The chart is fantastic

The new E2 looks very interesting. Was planning on Dark Elite 229, will probably pick up an E2 instead now.
