Is there a store in/near the GTA that will buy collectable handguns?

I'm asking on behalf of a friend of mine (not a member on here yet) who has a mint condition Colt 1911 that was purchased new by his dad at least 50 years ago, and has never been fired (as far as he knows?)
He's wondering if there is a retail store where he could take it to be evaluated and possibly purchased by the store?

A point in the right direction would be much appreciated, thanks!!

You're better off posting the details on this forum and having the membership give you a general idea of value. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to negotiating terms.

This is very true but than again they need to buy at a price where they can turn around and make money.
