Is there an H&R barrel program in Canada?

Hi all,

2 years ago, I bought at S.I.R. a nice single shot H&R Ultra with the wood stock in .270win . I would like to have another barrel for it in 45-70, is there such an option for us Canadians?

If I remember correctly I think the barrels have to be fitted to the receiver by H&R, so I don't think it's just a barrel swap.

"...barrels have to be fitted to the receiver by H&R..." Yep. However, according to H&R's site, only U.S. residents can have another barrel fitted. Something about licences. They don't sell barrels separately.

Ok, I contacted H&R and they told me that there is NO Barrel Program for Canadians customers .

Does that mean they won't do them here, or you can't send them there for fitting? And having said that, it's a break open gun, how tough can it be? - dan
