Is there any difference of a barrel reg'd under 470 mm

MY shotgun is registered as "under 470 mm" it's an 18"...so what difference does it make? It's still a non-restricted.

18" = 457.2mm
470mm = 18.5"

A factory produced barrel that is less than 470mm on an 870 or other pump shotgun (Mossberg 500 or Winchester 1300 both have 18" barrel options as well IIRC) that is longer than 26" overall length is non-restricted.
