Hello, I have a Remington 700 5r. just found a hole on the bottom of the stock, not sure about when I hit it

I think I need some suggestions that is it possible to use glue to fix it? if it cannot be fixed. if you want to sell original Remington 700 5r or upgrade stock please let me know. Thanks for helping!

Easy fix no need to buy a new stock..... :)

Black tinted epoxy would be my choice, but I have both on hand already.....

Clean with rubbing alcohol , carefully fill the small chip with a toothpick to drop the mixed epoxy into the chip, use some artistic skill to recreate the texture and bob's your uncle.

Based on your post, it might be a good idea to get someone who has worked with epoxy before to do the work.... it's such a small job it would be cheaper to pay someone a few bucks to do it rather then buy epoxy and dye,

An easier option would be a black sharpie and just live with the chip.

Edit, just did a quick search for black epoxy and found this epoxy putty which would be super easy!

Okay, thanks for helping. I am just not sure whether it would be less durable to live with the chips. If live with chips would not cause negative effects after I shoot. Black sharpie could be a great idea. Thanks again.

The putty repair material looks very forgiving to work with...... it will be easy to get it filled in and nicely textured to match.

You will have lot's of left over putty so you can practice first and also have it around for future repairs around the house and you stock.
