Is the idea to enjoy idpa with pistols now and then just use airsoft after holland wins because we didn't do enough to support chris alexander?

I am just asking because I saw a sweet deal on a plastic see through 1911 with an orange tip that would be great for idpa and I only want to buy it if we are not supporting alexander as much as we can.
